The first job I had was programming Motorola 6809 based Alarm monitoring systems in assembler. It was a painful process having to write everything to an EPROM for every change and debugging tools were non existent. It was a steep learning curve when i first started but it's always been an area of programming i enjoy. Programming embedded systems was my first job and after working for many years developing on a wide range of systems and platforms i again find myself back working on embedded system again.
