I wonder if trademark licensing could be a viable business model for some open source projects?
- npongratz 8y agoThey can do what they want, but I would hate to see various beloved open source projects and their leaders in league with the IP police.
- eropple 8y agoRegardless of your opinion of copyright, trademark IP has a pretty clear and valid reason to exist. I shouldn't be able to go sell "Coca-Cola" and hoodwink a bunch of customers; the same follows pretty clearly for OSS.
