This seems like it's maybe a useful corrective for 18 year olds who have a black and white view that Atlas Shrugged is a practical guide to an ideal society, but it's not a particularly insightful commentary on actual US politics. Paul Ryan did not want to stop building roads or defund the police. The United States is very far from Honduras, and Honduras does not mean that it's a bad idea to move at the margin in a more laissez fair direction. I think that the downfall of Sears has a lot more to do with Amazon than Ayn Rand.
