- alkonaut 8y agoSomeone at my company suggested it (not an expert) when we discussed a new login UI. When I had a meltdown and asked WHY!? The response was “oh, I didn’t understand it was controversial and I thought everyone blocked paste for security”. So that kind of explains why it’s done. It’s a misinformed cargo cult.
