Lessons I learnt from porting Diablo
- smountcastle 16y agoWasn't this posted to HN almost a year ago? Is there something that makes this relevant again?
- coderdude 16y agoWas it? Might be nice if someone could find the comment thread for it.
- smountcastle 16y agosearchyc.com found this: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=975917 http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=975917
- coderdude 16y agoThanks for finding it. I thought HN doesn't allow duplicate submissions from the exact same URL. Weird.
- Kliment 16y agoIt doesn't, but they expire. So once some time has passed you can submit the same URL again. Some things keep popping up here every few months, and some deservedly so. I do wish there was a way to get an autolink to the old threads though. As it is, someone finds it quickly enough, but why not automate it?

- aaronbrethorst 16y agoThis is the first time I saw it. I like the idea of resuscitating old HN articles. I think there are classics we can all learn something from, again and again. It's the same reason I've pulled SICP off the shelf once a year for the past 12 years: it always has something new to teach me.
- jonursenbach 16y agoWhat makes it relevant is that it's still interesting and people might not have caught it the first time it was around.
