From what I've heard Silicon Valley is also very expensive. Apart from that for non US citizens I reckon its hard to land a working visa with the current situation in the US and immigration. I feel like what pays you higher than SV etc is if you can land a nice US remote work at about $100-120k but live in a place like Portugal or whatever that its very cheap VS your salary.
