All you need for a political controversy is for a group to perceive themselves as losers. The merits, are completely immaterial to whether a controversy exists or not. Some guy gets passed over for promotion, and he looks for a scapegoat, suddenly there's a controversy. As far as a lawsuit being filed, I'll reserve judgement until the case plays out, thanks.
