Few days ago I went to my friends house and was waiting to go out. The TV was on, I was surprised how quickly annoyed I got with all the ads. I can't go back to that shit anymore.
If I remember correctly Hulu ads are more annoying and frequent than TV ads (and they sometimes require human interaction, ie, "Click X", to go away!). I don't know if it got better though.

Hulu has the ad breaks at the same point in the show, but only shows 30-60 second commercials in them, vs 2-4 minutes for a TV ad. Like an average sitcom is 22 minutes, leaving 8 minutes for ads. The ads can be more annoying, but not because they are interactive, but because the ad inventory is limited compared to broadcast TV so you see the same ads more frequently.
