Ask HN: Crowdsource hypothesis verification

Like a lot of folks out there, I often have more ideas, hypothesis and theories about things than I have time to investigate in order to verify or invalidate them. Even for some that I do have time for, it proves to be quite time consuming to make a start, usually because I'm not familiar with terminology and/or concepts to lead me on a path. Do the HNers use any forum, site, service, paid or free, to crowdsource some of these efforts? I know of HN itself and reddit as great communities.
