Half the world history we spend time on reproducing for war or similar endavours. Not doing harm, is still quite a improvement. Not buying stuff while beeing alive, is even reducing the war on nature. In the 70s - as a reaction to the club of rome, they had this insane idea to freeze part of humanity, until the imminent crisis was over. This is what the internet is- a freezer- it freezes social interaction, it freezes your desires, your plans - it freezes everything. To become defrosted, does not by default improve the world. Its ultimatly a personal desicion.
