I used to love tiling managers (awesome-wm user) and I always thought it was lacking a smoothness factor when transitioning from a pane to another or when rearranging containers. Something that wouldn't make you think you just blinked and the windows were moved, a way to follow where visual objects are going to. Something like that (notice how the resize is smooth and not instantaneous, which allows your eyes to follow movements but the left and right align are instantaneous and feel like something hit you from nowhere since you can't track the transitions with your eyes): https://streamable.com/wb36p https://streamable.com/wb36p
