History keeps proving that we will.
- fallingfrog 8y agoI mean hey, maybe I’m wrong but I have a bachelors in physics and this is what I’m seeing ahead. Verifying the speed of light is easy; you just need a rotating mirror and a laser or bright light. Showing that electrons have a charge can be done with oil drops. But the Higgs boson took, let’s just say a bit more effort, and while I think it’s good that we are looking for new particles there is no practical application of the Higgs. Just saying. The low hanging fruit is gone and what’s left may or may not be useful.
