Think cellular automatons combined with PD/MaxMSP. Each letter in the alphabet is a node. The node's inputs/outputs are adjacent grid locations, data typically flows south (outputs are sent down) State advances on every frame. There are nodes to generate data (counters, timers, etc.), nodes that have state and nodes that are sinks (OSC and MIDI). I had to fiddle around the webkit console to get the midi working with garage band. It's fun.
