You do realise that you've described Facebook ads (with a few minor exceptions)? The commercial ad blocking companies still try and block FB ads because FB won't give them a cut of the revenue. The non-commercial projects try and block FB ads because they are not interested in incentivising ad companies to behave. They just want to block all the things.
