That's pretty much the same as my understanding of helicopter parents, parents who will do anything to help their child, and prevent them from learning how to deal with problems/overcome disparity/etc. Though I would like to see a follow up study in 30 or so years and see how the different parenting styles end up affecting their kid's children/long term happiness.
