Apparently it was only expected to survive a couple of months originally (https://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-12-14/new-tongan-volcano-being-used-by-nasa-to-study-mars/9257160 https://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-12-14/new-tongan-volcano-be...). If we purposefully colonized it I'd like to know if we could make it permanent. It's not very often you get the chance to restore some rain-forest without pissing somebody off, even if it is a small token effort.
