From what I could find, Canada offers 52 weeks total for both parents. Whereas the Gates Foundation was offering 52 weeks per parent (about twice as good), and is now rolling that back to 6 months plus daycare. So that seems totally on par. I couldn't find exact figures, but it looks like the Canadian policy pays up to 55% of earnings, and usually closer to 33%. I couldn't find how much the Gates foundation pays.
