I recommend fine tuning resumes for the job requirements, and a cover letter that emphasizes a passion for the language they are looking for (or a desire to learn something you can't claim experience in that is requested). Publicly available samples of work also helps. Mega corps that machine parse applicants are a pain to get into, but you probably don't want to work there anyways :-)
