If (and that's a big IF) you can get a self driving car to your house within, say, 5 minutes anytime then there won't be much reason to own a car. Only we don't know if everyone wants to go by self driving cars everywhere, even those who can't drive (kids, old people, etc.) then will the future car and road infrastructure be able to handle this?
