This article says that with self driving cars, there is no incentive to park. So, the several gallons of fuel/electricity the car is going to burn during a working day are for free then?

- rohit2412 8y agoWell then the obvious solution is to make downtown driving expensive. Charge money to enter downtown

- jfk13 8y agoBill vehicles according to the length of time spent in the area, minus any period spent off-road in a parking facility or similar (which will presumably be charged separately by the operator of the parking facility).
- gregschlom 8y agoNot free but according to the article it costs less than the cost of paying for parking.
