Seeing how many people struggle to pay for every day things and live paycheck to paycheck, I doubt the majority will ever pay for news. News is interesting, but not enough to pay for it. Most of the time the cover is skewed one way or another - too negative, biased. Personally, I can live my whole life not knowing what happens outside my personal circles, who blew up what and what apple did today to google.
