I mentioned it in a comment above, but one way in which it feels shoehorned in is the fact that you can only have one Firestore per Google Cloud project. Having only one Firestore per project makes setting up test or staging environments a hassle.
- thesandlord 8y agoOh yeah, this fact is definetly my least favorite part about Firestore. Also the fact you can't change the location once it is created. I don't know what the roadmap is for removing these restrictions (or even if it is on the roadmap) but I'll update this post if I learn more.
