Anyone know if we can expect to get "+" back as a search operator? (it used to be, then they dropped it with Google+ launch)

Removing it from search, removing it as the icon to open a new tab in Chrome. I still remember thinking "This is so petty and trivial. If Google+ is so great, it'll stand on its own feet, regardless of the number of plus signs"
