As someone who understands nothing about quantum computing, what are some good resources to begin learning? Hopefully with examples/code that I can run.

- minxomat 8y agoIBM quantum experience gives you courses, a simulator and the real thing. It's pretty good for learning.
- MzxgckZtNqX5i 8y agoI'm currently taking a class of QC and we're following the book "Quantum Computation and Quantum Information" by Michael Nielsen and Isaac Chuang: I find it very clear and it doesn't assume prior experience/knowledge of the topic. I suggest you to give a look.
- HillRat 8y agoAaronson’s “Quantum Computing Since Democritus” is quite good. For hands-on examples, pull down the Microsoft quantum development kit, which includes the Q# programming language and the ability to run programs on a simulated quantum computer or submit to quantum runtimes like IBM’s.
- learned 8y agoYanofsky and Manucci's "Quantum Computing for Computer Scientists" is a smooth intro if you come from a CS background. Nielsen and Chuang's "Quantum Computation and Quantum Information" is more thorough and advanced from a mathematical point of view. But it contains a primer on the linear algebra required.
- mgsk 8y agoSince we're talking about Rigetti, you could take a look at pyquil: http://docs.rigetti.com/en/stable/index.html http://docs.rigetti.com/en/stable/index.html pyQuil is the python interface to Rigetti's Forest SDK for quantum programming and development.
