$15 Minimum Wage: Job Killer or Path Out of Poverty?

  "We have to continue to help people grow out of poverty. But that’s a different issue than minimum wage, which is supposed to be your first job entering the market. You’re not supposed to be able to support a family on minimum wage." Excuse me, I just threw up in my mouth a little. Is the argument that teenagers deserve to get paid less than real grown up humans just because they are younger, or that those who are making minimum wage as adults have failed to live up to some basic standard? Either way, if you work, you should get paid a decent wage for it. You should be able to support your family, or at least yourself on what you make in a week. Is that really so radical?
