They didn't even show that women are outperforming men. I'm very familiar with races under 200 miles (length) and/or 50km (vertical), and women are not outperforming men at those levels. While the gap between men and women is smaller in ultra endurance than in shoter distances, there are still no women who can match people like Kilian Jornet. And a cursory glance at longer distance races, it looks like women do win some of them, but it's a small percentage.
