I agree. I've been working for a few years on my own interpretation of whether it's feasible to have a visual system aid in creating a real program output. The translation of the above project really caused me to think hard. My hope was that visual programming would make the cognitive load easier. This might have been because I had not determined the subtle rules required to write a flow. I need more practice, but I think it will be a different flavor of thinking. Not better, not worse, different.
