Does it make sense to apply the idea from the article to the native vs webview apps competition? Writing an app in native (C/C++, or Java for Android, Swift for iOS) will give you the best efficiency, but the app will not adapt to platform changes so easily compared to using webview. It is also interesting to think about whether VMs or transpiler techs (e.g. web assembly, Haxe, GraalVM) will give us the best of both worlds.
