At the really low MMR end, you're not even looking for something that is difficult to solve for but something that has an attractive ratio of easy for technical person to solve / annoying but important for others. It's easy to read about a lot of the things in this thread and think, "I could easily hack that together in a weekend learning a new technology, why would I pay for it?". There's plenty of people for whom automating a simple repetitive task is both valuable and basically magic and there are so many niches to be had.
