- blasdel 16y agoIt looks like they got capriciously hellbanned for comments in this thread: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1320949 http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1320949 — everything after that was auto-killed, several dozen productive comments over the course of six months. Items can be fully deleted or [dead]-ed, and users can be silently hellbanned so that all of their contributions are [dead] on arrival for everyone but themselves. AFAIK there are no other metamoderation mechanisms.
- chbarts 16y agoWell, thank you. I suspected as much but I wasn't sure. I am honestly happy to hear this discussed openly, and I'm happy to hear any of my comments characterized as 'productive'. (I'm male, by the way, if that makes it any easier to continue this discussion.)
