I believe the problems we face with those platforms come from the "feeds", those infinite sources of attention-grabbing distractions from the actual social part of those networks (talking, commenting, discussing, planning...). For this reason I only use messaging apps (WhatsApp and FB messenger mainly, which bothers me since it still feeds the beast..).
