I'm not sure how there were any valid defenses to going shoeless in the bathroom and then in the cafeteria. That is revolting. I'm an engineer and I would be horrified if I saw that behavior from my peers.
- yanslookup 8y agoI'm pro-shoe but what is the difference if I wear shoes in the bathroom and then wear those same shoes in the cafe?
- notus 8y agoPeople are more likely to put their feet on things like chairs or tables, but not their shoes. Especially people that go shoeless all the time, they are always putting their feet on stuff and messing with the skin on their feet. shudders Not to mention damp bathrooms are breeding grounds for fungus.
- jfk13 8y agoIf people are putting their feet up on cafeteria tables, and messing with them, I'd be pretty uncomfortable about that (whether or not they're wearing shoes), regardless of bathroom visits.
- Smaug123 8y agoHow much worse is it than wearing the same shoes to the bathroom and then the cafeteria? Perhaps I'm suffering from a failure of imagination, but I don't see how the scenarios are different.
- jyrkesh 8y agoBecause foot diseases are a common thing: jock itch, athlete's foot, toe funguses...yeah, your feet should be clean, but unfortunately, it seems like a lot of the folks insisting on taking their shoes off are the ones that don't understand that their feet are a problem. (Not always, but I've definitely been grossed out in an office before, as well as on a plane. Ugh, don't get me started on the guy that went to the plane bathroom barefoot, doesn't affect anyone else, but OH MY GOD.)
