The other thing that is driving me crazy is the dark patterns employed to get you to click accept. Sometimes the reject button has deliberately had the onclick/hover changes removed so it doesn’t feel like a working button, other times it’s buried 3 levels deep etc. What are we supposed to do about these? They have been added to comply with GDPR but clearly don’t.
