- munk-a 8y agoYea I know, those ones tended to vote with Trump sometimes! In all serious I don't know if this was meant as sarcasm but party cohesion in the republican party is quite high, it's one of the reasons the republican minority was effective against Obama - senators would freely discard logic to toe the party line.
- burfog 8y agoWhen the majority is only 51 to 49, "quite high" doesn't cut it. Even with the VP to break ties, it only takes two defectors to lose. Commonly there were three defectors.
