- manfredo 8y agoI've come to the conclusion thatsny traditional media outlets have an inherent conflict of interest when reporting about technoy companies, especially ones that run social media sites and search engines. Said technology companies are cutting into traditional media's revenues. They're also limiting the ability of said media companies to shape public discussion, because individual can now find primary sources more effectively and can more easily spot when stories are slanted, misleading, or false (e.g. see the unmitigated disaster that was the mainstream coverage of the Covington High School march). Because of that, traditional media outlets have a big incentive to portray those tech companies negatively.
