Arbitration is perfectly reasonable. I can imagine in the old days (even now in some regions) the elders would gather to settle /judge disputes so they'd be no fights, killings and so on. But today, the fact that companies, with a lot more lawyer money than individual employees, push that, shows all we need to know.
