It seems to me that a lot of those Brexiters were claiming to sell something a lot more concrete than hope, if only Britain could somehow free itself from the shackles of the EU. The other thing I find interesting (ironic?) is how many Brexit leaders/campaigners have dual citizenship or residences in EU countries. It seems more like, "hey, not even we believe this stuff, as evidenced by our actions." :)
