I agree fully. I was bullied as a kid. When I stood up and fought back, I may have gotten in trouble, but the bullying stopped (at least from the people I fought back against). When I tried to ignore it or brush it off, it only got worse. And when I did get in trouble at school for fighting back, I didn't get in trouble at home because my parents knew I wasn't the instigator.
