Ask HN: Do you hate comparing tools/apps/choosing stuff?

Hate might be a bit of a strong word, but do you wish that there was an easier way/less time consuming? I do - but for me if I was to trust a tool/service it would have to be comprehensive enough that I knew it would have as much info as I would have gained by researching it myself (searching: what is the best iPhone app for x,y,z). What would you want it to offer? In the context of this post, I suppose I'm focusing on things like iPhone apps, startup/business web apps (project management apps, accounting apps), and other software (note taking apps), etc - but this issue is broader than that. What would you think about this being offered as a service - someone (maybe through a web app interface) asks you enough questions about you and your situation so that they can do the research for you, then they tell you which one to use/download?
