This is a bit of a niche recommendation, but Pandemic Legacy: Season 1 is a fantastic game. For those not familiar, Pandemic is a cooperative game where you work with other players to travel around the globe and stop a global pandemic. The legacy variant adds new elements of the game which unlock and change the board, characters, and rules as you play. On my opinion, it's best best played with the same group of four people over the course of several months. (Each session takes a couple hours and there will be 12-24 depending on how the game progresses.) I can't speak to the quality of Season 2 as I haven't found a crew to play with yet.
