Am I the only person who sees privacy pages on sites like this - where they say 'accept our conditions and cookies' and there seems to quick way to make settings that you're happy with - and then presses the back button, adding that domain to an internal list of sites I won't visit again? Any time I see any Oath-owned domain, I know that it'll be difficult/impossible to set what I want, so I don't even bother any more.
- isostatic 8y agoNo, you're not the only one
- dmitriid 8y agoYup. Same here. I ended up reading comments on HN to see what the article was about. Under GDPR Slate's privacy banner is probably illegal, by the way, because it doesn't provide a way to opt-out.
