FYI mitm attacks have been employed against high profile targets, and VLC is deployed pretty much everywhere. This is a very plausible persistent threat scenario, not a mere theoritical issue...
- AckSyn 8y agoHardly anyone I know outside of tech circles knows or uses VLC. It may have millions of downloads but that's irrelevant. And the releases are themselves signed. http or https doesn't matter.
