Really? I thought it was kinda funny and worth sharing. Not necessarily something I'd consider SEO spam.

- tptacek 16y agoIt's another of a stream of marginally humorous cartoon infographics with embed codes aimed at plastering links to a target site all across the Internet. At least this time, it was to a "Design your own Flash website" site, and not to a student loan broker.
- GFischer 16y agoIt's succesful SEO spam, then :) Will they archieve http://xkcd.com/810/ http://xkcd.com/810/ ? They do look like a low bar, though. And I dislike the way I can't trust Google anymore as a result - how long until someone breaks the arms race between Google and the SEOs? or are we doomed? Should I try DuckDuckGo or another alternative?.
- rmc 16y agoLook at the embed code at the very bottom. It links to another website using terms like "free website builder". They are hoping people will copy & paste that code around. This means people will link to their website with terms that they want.

- tswicegood 16y agoI think that's sort of implicit in writing/producing for the web though. Most people do it with the hope of getting something out of it, some are just a bit more brash about it.
