It is a fair question, because we weigh our decisions with risk. I deem that eating a burrito from chipotle with a low risk, but there is a chance, however small, that I can die. But it's still such a small chance that I consider the risk worth the reward of the tasty Chipotle burrito. My wife and I, for example, won't leave our cats with a company, or even someone the vet knows. We would rather buy an automated cat food dispenser and have a live video feed to make sure it works. We've done that for 2 very short trips away. We're not parents but for us, things like Day care, school (at all - we would have homeschooled), babysitters would have all been out. The risk would be too high for us. However all that said Wag didn't do the right thing here.
