I’ve done the same and had the exact same experience. What is the reason for that?
- borgel 8y agoI assume it has to do with which side the reflective coating is on? If it's on the room-facing face there is no gap. If it's on the backing (wall-side face) there is a gap as thick as the glass.
- sm4rk0 8y agoThe reflective coating (silver or alumin(i)um) of a glass mirror is usually on its back. Gap should be twice the glass thickness because the light travels the distance twice.
