This would have been amazing for when I lived in a small town in the subarctic. My truck was always useful for things like dump runs or picking up lumber etc. But the town was 20 km end-to-end so I would rarely drive more than 10 km at a time. Of course you'd need a second car or truck for longer trips, but everybody has more than one car in a rural area anyways. Completely flips the environmental option that many chose where you drive a Prius to work and a truck long haul, to the other way around.
