Initially he suspected, but didn't jump to conclusions. It was only confirmed after matching the WiFI SSID.

  It was confirmed that the kid set it up, and that the kid never had access to the network. An investigation will have to see if the kid has anything to do with the attack at all.

    The kid was a kid in 2001, should be at least in his/her twenties now.
