I'm pretty sure he/she was saying they want to see something like Elasticsearch written in Rust/C++ rather than Java and made to be less bloated and less complex. I would also be very interested in that. Elasticsearch usually works very well for me, especially the latest version, but it feels very heavy, and seems to only be getting worse in that regard.
