That's a good article and I agree with its essence, but some examples don't seem correct to me. Sometimes Weak Technologies are a necessary intermediate step to strong ones. Autopilot is a major stepping stone to full autonomy and Hybrid cars would pave the way (economically) for fully electric/hydrogen cars.
