Every Sunday evening I spend a few minutes writing a "todo" list in my notebook for the week. Items can be anything from "get coffee beans" to "record one song" or "take GRE practice test" but it works for me. I love using my Rhodia Dot Pad and Lamy Safari fountain pen and I'm not convinced any notetaking software will ever be as enjoyable.
